Looge / Theatre & Performance / Royal Conservatoire of Scotland
← Back to agenda100 Renfrew Street · G2 3DB
www.rcs.ac.uk/ →The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland traces its history to the Glasgow Athenaeum of 1847, became the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in the twentieth century, and took its current name in 2011 in recognition of a curriculum that had grown to cover music, drama, dance and production alongside its original disciplines. Its public programme of student and staff performances — opera, orchestral concerts, drama and dance — suits visitors who want to see genuinely emerging performers at a serious professional standard, often for far less than a producing house charges for the same repertoire.
