Rights and takedown

1. Write to us

Email [email protected]with “Rights” in the subject line. You do not need a solicitor to reach us, and you do not need to use any particular form of words.

It helps if you can include:

• the page on Looge where you saw it;
• which work you mean, if the page shows more than one;
• what your relationship to it is — photographer, agency, venue, or something else;
• and what you would like to happen.

2. What happens next

We look at it and reply. If the work should not be there, we remove or replace it. If we think there has been a misunderstanding, we explain why rather than going quiet.

Looge is a small team, so we would rather not promise a response time we cannot reliably keep. What we can say is that a message about rights is read by a person, not filed by a system.

3. Many images are the venue’s, not ours

Looge lists what venues programme, and most event images come from the venue’s own page. In a large number of cases the file is served directly by the venue’s own website — Looge points at it and holds no copy of its own.

Where that is the case we will tell you, and say which venue published it, so you can take it up with them if you want to. We will still remove our reference to it on request.

4. If you are a venue

If you have listed something on Looge and later find you did not have the rights to an image you supplied, tell us — [email protected]. It is a great deal easier to swap an image quietly than to answer a claim about it, and nobody minds you asking.
