On any given evening, there are films being screened in converted warehouses, plays in fringe theatres, talks at cultural institutes, and exhibitions opening quietly in spaces most people have never heard of. The people running these venues are passionate, often under-resourced, and doing extraordinary work.

The problem is finding them.
