Last Monday of the month, 6–8pm. £4 which can be redeemed at the cafe on the night. The Silent Reading Group events are hosted by Publishing Scotland, in association with UNESCO Edinburgh City of Literature. Enjoy the time and space to read whatever you like in a convivial and welcoming atmosphere alongside other friendly bookworms. Each month we have a guest author join us for a reading and book signing – for our September event, our guest author will be novelist Olga Wojtas, who will read from her novel, Miss Blaine’s Prefect and the Parcel of Rogues. Event Schedule 6pm – 6.15pm: Welcome 6.15pm – 7.15pm: Introduction and Silent Reading 7.15pm – 7.30pm: Guest author talk / Reading 7.30pm – 8.00pm: Book Chat / Book Buying / Author Signing Bring your own book, buy a book from the Fruitmarket bookshop, or take a book from the UNESCO Edinburgh City of Literature book box.
