Award-winning Scottish tenor Matthew McKinney and acclaimed classical guitarist Sasha Savaloni present a programme showcasing two outstanding musical voices. Winner of the 2024 Kathleen Ferrier Award, Matthew has rapidly established himself as one of the UK’s leading young tenors, with appearances at Glyndebourne, Carnegie Hall, English National Opera and alongside ensembles including The Sixteen and Dunedin Consort. Sasha is one of Europe’s most distinguished guitarists, celebrated for his “remarkable command” and “piercing intensity.” A prizewinner at the Sevilla International Guitar Competition and the New Elizabethan Award, he has performed at leading venues and festivals across Europe and as a soloist with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. Together they bring a compelling programme of song and guitar repertoire.
