This special gig sees the North London Jazz Collective return to the Green Note to continue their collaboration with supremely talented fellow travellers from overseas. Co-founder of the NLJC, London drummer Robbie Ellison teams up with Paul Sikivie, the NYC-based titan of the double bass - fresh from Samara Joy's band, and former London resident Ofer Landsberg, a world-class guitarist who has shared the bandstand with bebop giants such as Frank Hewitt & Jimmy Lovelace. Expect swinging grooves, pretty chords, elegant melodies, and big vibes! North London Jazz Collective (NLJC) brings together some of the UK’s finest jazz musicians, spanning swing, bebop, trad, manouche, fusion and contemporary jazz. Based in London with an international outlook, NLJC presents vibrant performances, social dances, jam sessions and collaborative projects, featuring both established and emerging artists. From intimate clubs to major festivals, NLJC celebrates the high quality, diversity and community of today’s jazz scene. Doors open 7.30pm. Music starts 8pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited, and available on a first come first served basis, so if you’d like a seat , we recommend arriving early!
