About this event
PURE REPRESENTS...FEATURING RAE MORRIS + MATILDA FINN FRANCES : RAE MORRIS: After being signed to Atlantic records aged 19, Rae went to on release three studio albums of critical acclaim, touring extensively with the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Tom Odell, and Jungle. As Rae’s music evolved towards a more experimental, alt-pop sonic, reminiscent of artists such as Tori Amos and Patti Smith (with whom she had the pleasure of sharing a festival stage with), one thing that has always remained is her ability to tell a deeply personal story using the piano and voice. MATILDA FINN FRANCES: Matilda Finn Frances is an artist whose sound resonates with the gentle introspection of a life lived on the periphery, observing and reflecting on the world around her. Arriving on the South West’s music scene at the end of last year, her beguiling voice and haunting melodies have been doing all the talking, leaving audiences (and rumour has it, record labels) spellbound. Early support from Steve Lamaq and Jo Whiley will no doubt make Matilda one to watch for the near future. Doors open 6pm, Music starts 6.30pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited, and available on a first come first served basis, so if you’d like a seat, we recommend arriving early!
