Green Note favourites Dunajska Kapelye are back with their irresistible mix of authentic Balkan and Gypsy folk, Hot club jazz, Klezmer and Tango led by Piotr Jordan's peerless violin and the incomparable Zac Gvirtzman on accordion and clarinet. It's a seat-of-the-pants ride through the absolute best of East European folk - all shot through with scintillating jazz improvisation. From rip-roaring Romanian wedding dances, drinking songs to the most plaintive Gypsy ballads - it's a wonderful musical ride. Special guests to be announced! “Extreme, virtuoso Balkan Gypsy Jazz” – Time Out “All Gypsy life is here” – London Jazz “You can’t help but leave with a big stupid grin on your face” – the Metro Doors open 7pm. Music starts 8.30pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited and available on a first come first served basis so, if you’d like a seat, we recommend arriving early!
