Donnie (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a typical American teen - a smart boy with a nice family and friends. Donnie is also, however, a little bit strange. When a jet engine crashes through the ceiling, narrowly missing him, a monstrous rabbit called Frank appears to him, telling him he must fulfil his destiny - and that there's no time to lose.
