Stéphanie (Léa Drucker), a dedicated police officer working for the French equivalent of the Independent Office for Police Conduct, is assigned to investigate a case involving a young man who was seriously injured amid the chaos of a tense “gilets jaunes” protest in Paris. While her inquiry uncovers no evidence of unlawful police violence, the case takes a personal turn when Stéphanie discovers the victim is from her hometown. Directed by Dominik Moll ( Night of the 12th , Only the Animals ), Case 137 , featured at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, is a gripping procedural drama brought to life by a compelling and magnetic performance from Léa Drucker.
