About this event
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Shaun Escoffery, Rumer & Ed Harcourt Plus special guests Following on from the sold out Royal Albert Hall show in June, Burt Bacharach’s songbook heads out on a UK tour. The evening honours one of the most influential songwriters of the past century with the show featuring many classic songs including ‘The Look of Love’, ‘Walk on By’, ‘Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head’, ‘Anyone Who Had a Heart’, ‘Make It Easy On Yourself’, ‘Alfie’ and the timeless anthem ‘What The World Needs Now Is Love’ plus lots more. Featuring live performances by beloved UK artists Rumer, known for hits such as ‘Slow’ & ‘Aretha’ from her 1million selling album Seasons of my Soul, and Shaun Escoffery, the British soul/R&B singer/actor who has performed with major artists including Quincy Jones, and who currently stars as Mufasa in London’s West End massive hit production of The Lion King. Also featured will be the Mercury nominated singer-songwriter Ed Harcourt, plus additional guests. The show will be brought to life with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra under the musical direction of Rob Shirakbari – Bacharach’s long time arranger and music director. Bacharach remains one of the most decorated songwriters with a catalogue that includes 73 US Top 40 and 52 UK Top 40 hits as well as 3 Academy Awards, 6 Grammy Awards and an Emmy.
