About this event

Dir Clara Wetzel, Fanny Lindström/PK UG LR CO BO IT 2025/65 mins What happens when young people are trusted to lead? Generation Trust is an inspirational documentary that follows five Youth4Climate awardees, from Liberia, Uganda, Pakistan, Colombia, and Bolivia, as they tackle the climate crisis in their own communities. From advancing clean energy access and sustainable agriculture to building resilient livelihoods, each story reveals the courage and creativity of young leaders shaping real solutions to local and global challenges. Through intimate storytelling, Generation Trust captures not only the impact of the young people’s work, but their doubts, struggles, and resilience. This is a film that shows that climate leadership isn’t about perfection, but persistence. It’s a human, emotional journey that asks one critical question: what becomes possible when young people are truly trusted and supported to act? Generation Trust is produced by Youth4Climate, an initiative co-led by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE), with the support of the 8x1000 funds of the Italian Buddhist Institute Soka Gakkai.
