Doors 7:45 PM, Music 8:30 PM - 2 sets of music Line-up: Tony Kofi - Soprano Saxophone Louis Koller - Valve Trombone Hans Koller - Piano Kobe Heath Ngugi - Double bass Noah Ojumu - Drums About: Hans Koller collaborated with legendary American saxophonist Steve Lacy on the acclaimed 2004 album London Ear, recorded shortly before Lacy’s death. This session featured original compositions by Koller and and Lacy, alongside original arrangements, highlighting a creative meeting between the Anglo-German composer/improviser and the pioneering soprano saxophonist. This new project is a tribute to Lacy inspired by Koller's ongoing musical partnership with Tony Kofi and Noah Ojumu, working on the music of Thelonious Monk.
