Veteran pianist Tim Penn is one of the most popular musicians on the London blues and roots scene. Tonight, he is joined by the guitarist from his main band The Second Line, Chris Proctor. They perform a repertoire that stretches from old Jelly Roll Morton classics to the 50s/60s New Orleans R&B of artists such as Fats Domino and Professor Longhair, mixed with blues, gospel and soul jazz and Tim's own compositions. In the seven years they have played together as a duo, they have developed an almost supernatural understanding of each other's music-making that never fails to delight and excite their audience.
