On November 14, The West Wing Weekly returns to the UK for a live taping of their hit podcast. Join co-hosts Joshua Malina and Hrishikesh Hirway at Union Chapel for the first time since their sold-out show there in 2018 as they record the Season One finale of their new episode-by-episode discussion of Netflix’s smash-hit political thriller, The Diplomat. The West Wing Weekly began in 2016 and became one of the most acclaimed television rewatch podcasts, as well as being the first-ever to feature a cast member of the show as a host. During its initial run, the podcast welcomed cast and crew from The West Wing, as well as real-life politicians, speechwriters, ambassadors, and policy makers, to discuss the craft and plot of the beloved series. After completing their run with The West Wing, Malina and Hirway have returned to discuss The Diplomat’s bracing look at international relations, with its high stakes, espionage, and backroom negotiations. The Diplomat was created by former West Wing writer Debora Cahn, and it shares talent from The West Wing both in front and behind the camera. A co-star on NBC’s The West Wing and ABC’s Sports Night, Joshua Malina also played David Rosen in Shonda Rhimes’ Scandal, and President Siebert on The Big Bang Theory. Joshua’s film appearances include Bulworth, In The Line of Fire, A Few Good Men, The American President, and others. Recently, Malina appeared on Broadway in Tom Stoppard's Tony Award–winning play Leopoldstadt. Hrishikesh Hirway is a musician, composer, and podcast creator. He is the host and creator of Song Exploder, an award-winning podcast and Netflix original series in which musicians break down the creative process behind their songs. In April 2026, he released his album In the Last Hour of Light, produced by Grammy-nominee Phil Weinrobe, and featuring collaborations with Iron & Wine, Kevin Morby, and more. He composed the original score for the New Line film Companion, the Netflix series Everything Sucks!, and the video game The Red Lantern. He also co-created and co-hosted the award-winning food podcast Home Cooking with chef Samin Nosrat.
