Journalist John Klein (Richard Gere) is involved in a car accident where his wife (Laura Linney) claims to have seen a moth-like creature suddenly appear in front of them. Klein decides to investigate of other reported sightings, which takes him to Point Pleasant, West Virginia, where sightings and experiences appear to be concentrated. Based on actual events which took place between 1966 and 1967, The Mothman Prophecies (2002) is a unique, tense and unusual paranormal thriller, and Richard Gere is excellent in this hugely underrated film. Presented and introduced by Jacknoir. At the end of the film, Jacknoir will give a short talk entitled ” The Mothman Debunked?”.
