About this event

A semi-autobiographical puzzle with a real-life discovery after her grandmother’s burial becomes a gateway into examining unfinished business, attempting to right the wrongs of the past. Drawing on her Romanian heritage, Faber takes the audience on a multigenerational journey through Romania’s turbulent history. With an international creative team, a touch of surrealism, and an ode to cabbage rolls, this theatrical experience turns private mourning into a universal exploration of loss, the weight of history, and the relentless pull of family ties. The Land We Shared is an intimate meditation on what we leave behind, revealing how the long shadow of Romania’s communist dictatorship continues to shape lives across generations. The Land We Shared and Larisa Faber are part of the PROSPERO NEW Platform selection, co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
