Join Catherine Blackledge to learn all about some fierce female animals It’s time to celebrate the incredible members of the queendom – female animals that deserve the scientific spotlight after being overlooked or underestimated for so many years. Join former science journalist Catherine Blackledge, whose talk was written with advice from the University of Cambridge, for an afternoon that will inspire you to see the wonder of all kinds of female creatures! From murderous mammals and record-breaking birds to spectacular snakes and self-cloning insects, unearth something new about a familiar species or be totally surprised by an animal you’ve never heard of, in this eye-opening, awe-inspiring event! Packed with astonishing facts, surprising world records and unforgettable animals, this is a joyful celebration of the mighty, intelligent, fearless and fascinating females that help shape life on Earth. Copies of 'The Animal Queendom' will be available for purchase after the talk. This is a theatre event for children and adults to enjoy together. We recommend our family talks for children aged 7–13, though they can be enjoyed by audiences of all ages. All young people under the age of 13 need to be accompanied by a paying adult and those aged 4 and above need a ticket to attend.
