SYNOPSIS: Archaeology student Angus Flint unearths a giant snake skull in the Derbyshire countryside, accidentally waking up a very old local legend, and possibly an even older hunger. Enter the impossibly seductive Lady Sylvia Marsh, a leather-clad snake priestess with a taste for virgins, pagan rituals and generally making everyone's day considerably worse. Alongside Hugh Grant’s aristocratic Lord James D’Ampton, Angus discovers that the mythical D’Ampton Worm may be rather less mythical than anyone would like. What follows is a delirious cocktail of ancient serpent worship, hypnotism, bagpipes and enough sexual symbolism to make Freud blush. Content Warnings: Graphic violence, sexual assault imagery & full-frontal nudity This screening is 18+ and will begin at the advertised time above. Runtime: 93 minutes Director: Ken Russell Cast: Amanda Donohoe, Hugh Grant, Catherine Oxenberg Country: UK Year: 1988 Film
