About this event
Screening as part of STAB! From the directing duo who made their extraordinarily creepy debut Talk to Me, their second film follows a brother and sister who uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother. When their father suddenly collapses and dies, Andy and Piper are sent to live at a new foster home. But while their foster mother is welcoming, something is most definitely not right and soon they become unwilling participants of ever more horrifying events and revelations. A truly unnerving performance from Sally Hawkins pulls you into one of the most intensely disturbing films you'll get to see this, or any year. Amongst the dread however, the film underscores the desperation of grief and mourning. But make no mistake, a thrillingly ghoulish horror this most definitely is. Watch out for Ollie... All of our screenings are 18+ unless otherwise stated, and the film start time is as advertised above. Content Warnings: severe content warnings for extreme bloody violence, intense child abuse and endangerment, body horror, self-mutilation, and grief/loss Runtime: 104 minutes Director: Danny Philippou, Michael Philippou Country: Australia Year: 2025 Film
