Doors 7:45 PM, Music 8:30 PM - 2 sets of music Line-up: Mike Perry - Drums Faye Thompson - Alto saxophone Safiyya Babbio - fender rhodes About: Somatiqi performs original compositions from the upcoming album "Ramsey's Theory", exploring the dissonance between technology and the social sphere through jazz improvisation with live electronics, synthesisers, samplers, sequencers and analogue effects chains. Somatiqi is the studio and live project of producer and drummer Mike Perry, drawing influences from bass music, dubstep, DnB, IDM, jungle, hip-hop and psychedelia. Incorporating uptempo dancefloor rhythms, experimental sound design and abstract field recordings, expect an energetic and immersive exploration of contemporary electronic styles. Performed live as a collective, the project features Faye Thompson on Alto Sax / Effects, Safiyya Babbio on Keys / Synths and Mike Perry on Drums / Electronics.
