SHINE weaves together the dynamism of CPE Bach, the groove of Michael Nyman, the tenderness of Barbara Strozzi and the intimacy and familiarity of folk traditions. With her stellar 7-piece band (think string quartet meets jazz trio with a saxophone wedged in the middle!), Jess captures the energy and eclecticism of her musical upbringing along with some beautifully reflective moments.
