Scottish Horn Day 2026 – Celebrate the Section! Sunday October 18th, 12 noon – 6pm Hosted by the RCS, sponsored by the BHS Join us in Glasgow for a stellar lineup of horn players and tutors drawn from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Scottish Opera and from Scotland’s freelance horn community. Joined by visiting guest composer-player Kerry Turner (American Horn Quartet), the day is jam packed with performances, workshop sessions, masterclasses, horn-related talks and directed ensembles for all ages and levels of experience. With Woodhead Horns, The Wind Section and Phoenix Music Publications. Activities to include: Horn Ensemble Workshops with Kerry Turner Newly discovered repertoire performed by RCS natural horn tutor Anneke Scott Posture for Horn players with the musician’s osteopath, Andrew Patterson (BAPAM) Writing for Horns Q&A with player-composers Kerry Turner and Chris Gough Whistlestop History with the John Webb Collection with Anneke Scott Masterclass with one of Scotland’s top principal horns SQ Horn Studio (for grades 4-6/ Higher & A/H) Directed ensembles for all ages Wagner Tuba sessions Breathing Workshops Instrument Maintenance Open Mic sessions to showcase your group Scottish Vienna Horns Showcase The Scottish Finale Concert and Massed Blow! and much more All U18s must be accompanied by an adult After booking your ticket a ll attendees MUST register on the following link Scottish Horn Day 2026  – Fill in form
