Her Persiana books have been multiple Sunday Times bestsellers. Ben Drinkwater is a food, culture and travel writer based in London. He’s a Senior Editor at CNN, and has contributed features, essays, and criticism to publications such as Esquire , Monocle , Euronews and Table . His Substack, An Alphabet for (Modern) Gourmets , reimagines M.F.K. Fisher’s seminal 1949 essay series An Alphabet for Gourmets (reissued by Daunt Books Publishing) for a contemporary audience, with a monthly readership over 4,000.
