Rewind and Fast Forward is a powerful theatrical journey through one woman’s struggle to escape abuse, brought to life through compelling storytelling, striking performances and evocative visuals. The production explores the complex realities of domestic abuse, including power and control, physical, emotional and psychological abuse, the fear of what lies ahead, and the often-heard question, “Why doesn’t she leave?” An engaging post-show discussion organised by CASBA with professionals from Birmingham’s domestic abuse sector, alongside the director and cast of Rewind and Fast Forward, gives audiences the opportunity to reflect on the themes raised, ask questions and develop a deeper understanding of domestic abuse in an open, accessible and supportive environment.
