About this event
A special Monday night with Rage Against the Tagine, blending music from North Africa, the Middle East and Mediterranean with American jazz, and a London sensibility… The band is a project set up by long-time collaborators, Shirley Smart (cello), Joe Browne (saxophone) and Christian Miller (guitar). The musicians first played together in the Melange Collective, which was formed by Shirley after returning to London from a ten year period in Jerusalem. This ensemble can be seen as something of a reincarnation, only with a greater emphasis on improvisation and a renewed sense of energy fuelled by the musicians’ immersion in the London jazz scene. JAMBOREE IN ACTION! Join us for a night of brilliant live World music fusion in London!
