As the nights draw longer, join Sampad and B:Music to mark the final Midday Mantra of the season, marking the Autumn Equinox. We are delighted to welcome multi-instrumentalist Vijay Venkat , a musician who is considered one of the very best in the world on the on; Violin, Viola, Flute and Vichitra Veena (an ancient Indian fret-less slide instrument). Vijay will be joined by musicians Hali and percussionist Arian Sadr who specialises in traditional Iranian instruments such as the Tonbak and Daf and has played with the BBC Philharmonic. Midday Mantra from Sampad South Asian Arts & Heritage and B:Music is a journey into the soul-stirring melodies that define South Asian music. Our year-round series of lunchtime concerts provide enriching cultural experiences for all ages and backgrounds, with a captivating blend of classical, folk, and contemporary styles.
