Meet David Shrigley at Foyles Charing Cross Road as he signs and dedicates copies of 'Creative Writing', his new book. The cultural icon is back: but this time, with no illustrations. Creative Writing is a thoughtfully designed, black and white book of David's comic writing - pure words, pure joy, pure Shrigley . David Shrigley (b. 1968) is one of Britain’s most celebrated contemporary artists, best known for his distinctive hand-drawn style paired with witty humour and sharp observations of everyday life. His artworks often use irony and absurdity to explore human behaviour and the social conventions of our own modern culture. Shrigley has gained international recognition for his unique visual language, which is both accessible and thought-provoking. His works are held in major public and institutional collections worldwide, including Tate Modern in London, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne.
