THE MASTERWORKERS BELIEVE THAT NOBODY SHOULD HAVE TO BE UNCOMFORTABLY SEATED, STUFFILY DRESSED OR EVEN SOBER T0 ENJOY CLASSICAL MASTERWORKS PERFORMED BY SOME OF LONDON’S TOP PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS Welcoming Hugh Webb, one of the U.K’s most celebrated harpists into our Masterworkers family, there will be a spooky element running through this concert as we present Caplet’s musical depiction of Edgar Allen Poe’s Masque of the Red Death, Debussy’s Danses Sacred et Profane, and Ravel’s demonic hungarian gypsy-style Tzigane. Plus lighter music and some old favourites. IT IS A LABOUR OF LOVE FOR THE PERFORMERS, WHO HAVE ENJOYED LONG CAREERS AS PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS AND WANT TO SHARE THE JOY THAT THIS WONDERFUL MUSIC HAS BROUGHT THEM. BY KEEPING TICKET PRICES LOWER, THEY HOPE TO MAKE THE EVENT MORE ACCESSIBLE AND ENCOURAGE ANYONE NEW TO CLASSICAL MUSIC TO ‘TAKE A PUNT’ PERFORMING AT VENUES LIKE CHATS PALACE GIVE US AN OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE A SOCIALLY INTEGRATED NIGHT OUT. THERE’S NO DRESS CODE, BUT LEATHERS, UNIFORMS,RUBBER, JEANS, BALLGOWNS AND CARDIGANS ARE ALL ENCOURAGED SPACE IS LIMITED SO PLEASE BOOK IN ADVANCE
