Join us for the first lunchtime concert of the new academic year, performed by the talented pianist Martino Tirimo. Martino Tirimo is a Cypriot classical pianist and has appeared with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the major British orchestras and those in Berlin, Cleveland, Dresden, Leipzig, Prague and Vienna. With the Dresden Philharmonic he directed several cycles of Beethoven's five piano concertos from the keyboard in various concert halls in Germany and the Royal Festival Hall, London. Programme to include: Chopin Polonaise in D minor Op.71 No.1 Chopin Polonaise in B flat minor Op. posth. (‘Adieu’) Chopin Nocturne in B flat minor Op.9 No.1 Chopin Nocturne in F sharp Op.15 No.2 Chopin Nocturne in E flat Op.55 No.2 Chopin Mazurka in A minor Op.67 No.4 Chopin Mazurka in F# minor Op.59 No.3 Chopin Allegro de Concert Op.46 The next lunchtime concert is on Thursday 8 October and will be performed by Petar Pejčić (cello) and Nour Ayadi (piano). Join the LSE Choir and Orchestra on Tuesday 8 December for the LSE Christmas Concert in the beautiful surroundings of St Clement Danes Church.
