Malcolm Gaskill & Lamorna Ash: Worlds of Fear and Wonder Malcolm Gaskill, Emeritus Professor of Early Modern History at UEA, regular contributor to the LRB and leading authority on the history of witchcraft, explores the role of the supernatural in human thought and experience, ranging from the Middle Ages to the contemporary horror film. Worlds of Fear and Wonder (Profile) is, in the words of Ronald Hutton, ‘The most successful attempt I have read to make belief in the scary and disorderly supernatural understandable: a wonderful panorama of fear and ecstasy, sweeping across the Western world (and sometimes beyond) through recorded time.’ The author will be in conversation with Lamorna Ash, whose Don’t Forget We’re Here Forever describes the resurgence of religious faith among contemporary youth.
