Go behind-the-songs in this documentary where young musicians wrote and performed together, for the first time, original music celebrating Union Chapel’s unique role as a place of heritage and social justice, women pioneers, and extraordinary performing artists. Join them in their workshops, hear why they took part and what this experience meant for them, discover what characters from Union Chapel's archive inspired them, and see their music and friendships develop. This work was produced as part of Union Chapel’s Sunday School Stories Project and were in collaboration with Highbury Opera Theatre, Music Education Islington and Guildhall School of Music and Drama and features musician facilitators; Scott Stroman & Sean Gregory (lead musicians), Alcyona Mick (piano), Binker Golding (saxophone), Lucy Waterhouse (violin), Anna de Mutiis (percussion), Belle Brunson (flute, Guildhall School of Music & Drama student), and Lucinda Sieger (artist and singer/songwriter) - plus special guests appearances from the legendary Nitin Sawhney and Okiem.
