Lunchtime Concert | Michael Pandya, Ruby Hughes and Elizaveta Ivanova Friday 30 October 1–1.50pm Elgar Concert Hall, Bramall Free The first collaborative pianist to become a BBC New Generation Artist, Michael Pandya has been awarded several prestigious prizes, including the Pianist Prize at the Wigmore Hall International Song Competition. Michael is joined by soprano Ruby Hughes, and flautist Elizaveta Ivanova for this lunchtime concert, with a programme that includes the world premiere of a new work co-commissioned by the BBC and the Henry Barber Trust by Lisa Robertson. Programme includes: Hüe ‘Soir Païen’ from Chansons lointaines Crumb ‘Night’ from Three Early Songs Britten At the mid hour of night Ravel La flûte enchantée Debussy Syrinx Lisa Robertson New Work (world premiere) Please arrive in good time as this concert is recorded live and latecomers will not be admitted. ***** Admission is FREE and unticketed. Doors open at 12.30pm. Please be prompt as admission of latecomers is at the discretion of the venue. Food is NOT permitted in the concert hall. No mobile phones/devices during the performance. Access Information The Elgar Concert Hall is located in The Bramall Music Building. The Bramall Music Building has a café, level access, accessible toilets, baby changing facilities, and power assisted doors.
