Lunchtime Concert | Lecture-Recital: Sea Songs Friday 16 October 1–1.50pm Elgar Concert Hall, Bramall Free Ceri Owen piano Gareth Brynmor John baritone Star baritone Gareth Brynmor John joins award-winning pianist, academic, and Head of Performance Ceri Owen for this lecture-recital exploring the sea as inspiration to generations of song composers. Featuring familiar and rarely-heard music by Edward Elgar, Rebecca Clarke, John Ireland, Grace Williams, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Ina Boyle, Robert Saxton, and more – a journey to sea in song! “We love coming to Ceri Owen’s lecture-recitals, they are beautifully performed and really informative.” Audience member ***** Admission is FREE and unticketed. Doors open at 12.30pm. Please be prompt as admission of latecomers is at the discretion of the venue. Food is NOT permitted in the concert hall. No mobile phones/devices during the performance. Access Information The Elgar Concert Hall is located in The Bramall Music Building. The Bramall Music Building has a café, level access, accessible toilets, baby changing facilities, and power assisted doors.
