The extraordinary musicians Lucine Musaelian and Nathan Giorgetti formed Intesa to explore the rich relationship between voice and viol through self-accompanied performance. Their programmes place folk and early music repertoire side by side, bringing together European and Armenian traditions. Today’s programme traces the many faces of love and longing, from faith and homeland to the ache of romantic longing. Spanning Monteverdi madrigals, Armenian folk songs, French Baroque airs de cour, and the songs of Charles Aznavour, it draws unexpected connections across centuries and cultures. Suitable for ages 8+
