The dynamic young AERA Ensemble dedicated themselves to the performance of adventurous chamber music that sparks curiosity and enjoyment. The trio has quickly gained recognition, recently winning First Prize in the Mixed Ensemble Final at the Royal Overseas League Competition in March 2026 and joining the prestigious Dorothy Green Young Artists Scheme. Isabella Todes Violin / viola Amiri Harewood Piano Emily Crook Clarinet Beethoven Op 11 Bruch A selection of 8 pieces for Piano, Clarinet and Viola Stravinsky Suite from L’Histoire Du Soldat Their programme today explores the remarkable versatility of the clarinet, viola and piano trio across more than a century of music. Opening the concert is Beethoven’s Op 11 Trio , originally written for clarinet, cello and piano and performed here in an arrangement for clarinet, viola and piano, highlighting the natural affinity between the viola and cello. The rich lyricism of Bruch’s Eight Pieces and the theatrical energy of Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du Soldat showcase the ensemble’s distinctive colours and expressive range, creating a programme full of contrast, character and storytelling. Suitable for ages 8+
