Calling all Bristolian Vanguardistas: Kermode and Mayo’s Christmas Movie Spectacular is back For over two decades, film critic Mark Kermode and host Simon Mayo have been delighting audiences with their weekly takes on film, life and everything in between. Now, in another evening of festive filmic cheer, the Good Doctors bring their cinematic witterings and characteristic bickering live on stage in the home of Darth Vader , Archibald Leach and the unsung father of the motion picture, William Friese-Green . For the very first time, this year’s Christmassy extravaganza takes place in the UNESCO City of Film , featuring all the best bits from hit podcast Kermode & Mayo’s Take : reviews of the week’s newest releases, interviews with stars of the silver screen, and, inevitably, dad jokes aplenty.
