Doors at 7.30 Kelly Moran's latest record, Don't Trust Mirrors is a neo-classical masterpiece. Released by Warp Records in 2025, it features lush piano arrangements overlaid with shimmering electronics. Add some deep bass and trippy visuals she presents a piano recital like no other! No surprise what with being a John Cage collaborator. Kelly has been experimenting with various instruments from an early age, and when she hit her teens she started experimenting with electronics. At Uni she started playing around with minimalism and post minimalism, where she composed piano pieces to accompany dance performances. This is echoed with the visual show she will be bringing. Back in New York City she played in no-wave punk band Cellular Chaos, and then in the experimental rock group Voice Coils, alongside Mitski. She also plays in Oneohtrix Point Never's touring band. After this period she started on her solo work combining classical piano with electronics and prepare piano. winning plaudits from the likes of The New York Times, Rolling Stone and Bandcamp. Until signing with Warp in 2018 she had been the sole engineer and producer on her work.  In an interview, Moran noted that because the production world is male-dominated, she preferred establishing herself as an independent artist before bringing others in who may get credit for her work.
