In the Shaw Library this week we are joined by the exceptional pianist Kasparas Mikužis. Kasparas Mikužis ( @kkasparas2 ) is a young Lithuanian pianist celebrated for his artistry and versatility. He has performed at some of Europe’s most renowned venues, including Wigmore Hall in London and Concertgebouw Hall in Amsterdam, as well as at London Fashion Week and the Lithuanian Presidential Palace. In 2023, he made his debut with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra at the Lithuanian Philharmonic in Vilnius. Later that year, he was invited to perform for the Lithuanian and Polish presidents on Lithuanian Statehood Day at the Presidential Palace. In recognition of his representation of Lithuania on the international stage, Kasparas was honoured with a letter of gratitude from the President of the Republic of Lithuania. Programme to include: Bach: Toccata in F sharp minor BWV 910 Ravel: Sonatine A. Šenderovas: Selection of pieces from ‘Čiurlionis Sketches’ Prokofiev: Piano Sonata No. 2 in D minor, Op. 14 The next lunchtime concert is on Thursday 26 November and will be performed by the Sonas String Quartet. Join the LSE Choir and Orchestra on Tuesday 8 December for the LSE Christmas Concert in the beautiful surroundings of St Clement Danes Church.
