John Coltrane 100th Anniversary Concert Eastside Jazz Club and The Lab £15 (£5 students) We celebrate the 100th anniversary of John Coltrane's birthday with three differing sets that celebrate his legacy. The concert has been put together by TDE Promotions, Paul Dunmall and John O'Gallagher and will feature three sets: Set 1 (6.30, EJC) Jazz students with Paul Dunmall and John O'Gallagher play one of Coltrane's great pieces: Ascension Set 2 (7.45, EJC) A sextet with Paul Dunmall, John O'Gallagher, Sophia Domancich, Caius Williams, Miles Levin and Will Glaser revisit the music of another of Coltrane's great albums: Meditations. Set 3 (9pm approximately) The Lab A remix of the Meditations set by Andy Woodhead and Aaron Diaz. This will be an amazing event.
