Led by British Jazz Awards Rising Star Rory Ingham, Trombone Assembly brings together five of the UK’s finest jazz trombonists for an evening celebrating the remarkable versatility of the instrument. Featuring new compositions by acclaimed trombonist Mark Nightingale alongside fresh arrangements of jazz standards, the ensemble spans everything from rich, choral textures to swinging big-band sounds and intimate small-group interplay. Between them, the musicians have performed and recorded with artists including Frank Sinatra, Sting, Jamiroquai, Steely Dan and Quincy Jones . Expect virtuosic playing, bold new music and a joyful showcase of the trombone at its expressive best.
