Fashion photographer Scott Bruin begins suffering violent recurring nightmares in which he attacks a beautiful woman he has never met. Then she walks into his studio. Drawn into an elaborate conspiracy of sex, surveillance, murder and manipulated dreams, Scott follows her through a Los Angeles of glass mansions, fashion shoots, video monitors and nocturnal assignations. Nico Mastorakis throws restraint out of the window: IN THE COLD OF THE NIGHT is a delirious late-night-cable fantasia of blue neon, mirrored bedrooms, soft-focus sex, killer dream imagery and a gloriously excessive B-movie cast including Shannon Tweed, Marc Singer, Tippi Hedren and David Soul. Initially given an X rating by the MPAA, it is erotic-thriller excess in its purest form - slick, sleazy and increasingly unhinged.
