Through the voices of its protagonists and their families, this feature-length documentary reconstructs the extraordinary story of Uruguayan political exiles who, during the civic-military dictatorship in Uruguay, chose to join the Sandinista National Liberation Front in Nicaragua and fight against Anastasio Somoza’s regime — a struggle that was not originally their own. A powerful reflection on exile, solidarity, memory, and the choices that lead ordinary people to become part of history.
