Telling powerful stories from around the world through a distinctive artistic lens, this collection of short documentaries explores a range of compelling personal perspectives that provoke, surprise, and engage us emotionally. United by themes of memory, conflict and legacy, these films ask what it means to hold on to hope when peace or revolution never seem to materialise. FILMS FEATURED: Born in Damascus (dir. Laura Wadha, UK, 2022, 15 mins, English and Arabic w/ English subtitles) After ten years apart, a Scottish filmmaker tries to reconnect with her Syrian cousin, their paths separated by war. The Black Panther Cubs (dir. Aurora Brachman, 2025, 26 mins, English) When the revolution doesn't come - the children of the Black Panther Party wrestle with its legacy 50 years on. Miss Besieged Sarajevo (dir. Albie Swingler, UK, 2026, 24 mins, English, Bosnian and Dutch w/ English subtitles) Beauty pageants and bombs: Inela remembers her life as a teenager in Sarajevo, 30 years on. The Things We Don't Say (dir.
