Fifty years after Poly Styrene and a generation of pioneering women helped shape punk's music, art and identity, a new festival – UP YOURS! GOD SAVE THE QUEENS – celebrates female autonomy, rebellion, and creative expression in punk and alternative scenes, past present and future.This centrepiece panel features artist and activist Caroline Coon; film director, writer and curator Celeste Bell; musician, artist, filmmaker and founding member of The Raincoats Gina Birch; singer, saxophonist songwriter and founding member of X-Ray Spex Lora Logic.Hosted by Vivien Goldman, journalist, writer and musician and New York University’s very own Punk Professor.
