This Scottish premiere screening will have a short 5-minute introduction from Dylan Inglis (Etxepare). In the Basque mountains in the 17th century, in the midst of witch hunting, Kattalin flees from her husband and leaves the farmhouse in the middle of the night. Lost in the darkness of the forest, she feels a presence following her. On the road, she meets three women washing clothes by the river, who share scary tales and village gossip; to her surprise, Kattalin will end up becoming part of those very stories.
