The Living Sounds are absolute powerhouses of Funk, Rock, Afro and World Music Formed over two decades ago by the visionary musician Derane Obika, affectionately known as Mr. D L Sounds, Living Sounds has emerged as a powerhouse in the world of music, seamlessly blending Afro, Funk, Gospel, Jazz, Soul, and Rock into a mesmerizing sonic tapestry. At the core of Living Sounds is a quartet of extraordinary talent. Derane Obika leads the ensemble with his soulful vocals and masterful songwriting, drawing inspiration from his roots in Gospel music, where he honed his craft singing in his parents’ church. Gianluca Chiarella lends his expertise on guitar, infusing each composition with rich melodies and electrifying solos. Francesco Mendolia com- mands the rhythm section with his dynamic drumming, while Kofi Emanuel lays down the foundation on bass, locking in the groove with precision and finesse.
