Funeral Parade is proud to present The Skin I Live In, Pedro Almodóvar’s psychological melodrama about surgery and obsession. After twelve years, prominent plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Ledgard has finally created a new form of damage-resistant skin, a breakthrough which could have saved his late wife. However, this modern miracle of medicine was only achieved through Vera, Ledgard’s captive and human guinea pig. Who is she? And what does she have to do with the doctor’s past? The Skin I Live In is a startling thriller which could have only come from one of queer cinema’s most singular voices. With intro from artist, filmmaker and author Maz Murray.
