About this event

FOLK AND ROOTS PRESENTS: SOME FOREIGN SHORE Some Foreign Shore is an enchanting new collaboration between “one of the finest fingerstyle guitarists of his generation” Dariush Kanani and “the voice of fairytales” Daria Kulesh – an afternoon of pure escapism into the music of Anne Briggs, Sandy Denny, Bert Jansh, and other folk greats. Dariush “captures the spirit of the great players like Bert Jansch and John Renbourn and makes it his own” (Gordon Giltrap) while Daria is “one of the finest voices on the present folk scene” (Mike Harding), compared to both Sandy Denny and Loreena McKennitt. Join two accomplished artists – with intriguing foreign roots and a deep love of British folk – on a stirring and hypnotic musical odyssey of rare beauty. Doors open 1.30pm. Music starts 2.30pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited, and available on a first come first served basis, so if you’d like a seat , we recommend arriving early!
