About this event
A painter named Matthew Greco answers a phone-sex ad and becomes obsessed with the breathless voice of Edna, only to stumble across a mutilated corpse that may - or may not - be hers. What follows is a deliriously convoluted spiral of erotic calls, false identities, blackmail, murder and increasingly implausible revelations, with Martin Kemp trying to find the woman at the centre of a conspiracy no sensible man would enter. Harry Hurwitz pushes the erotic thriller past good taste and narrative stability: FLESHTONE is lurid, overplotted, shamelessly sleazy and saturated in early-1990s direct-to-video atmosphere. Every telephone call promises either sex, death or another deranged twist.
